Platinum Plumbing NQ has been created to demonstrate that not all tradies are alike.
Mischa’s experience in plumbing first started over 15 years ago whilst working for his dad in the family business.
With a passion for wanting to learn all the technicalities that went along with the plumbing industry, he moved on to do his certifications working for the largest council in Tasmania, Launceston City Council. After 10 years with the council he and his wife Jo had decided that they wanted to relocate out of the cold to experience all the things they had enjoyed whilst holidaying and visiting his elder sister in Cairns.
Mischa was soon to learn that there was a high demand for plumbers in the region, especially ones that actually care about their customers’ requirements. He took the opportunity to build his business around his morals, qualifications and passion for providing quality plumbing work that doesn’t see you back on the phone with issues down the track.
Platinum Plumbing NQ are now working with builders, strata management groups, resorts, property management organisations and home owners right around the Cairns region and beyond providing the following services:

Fun Fact:
Mischa loves dogs! So, if you have one on your property, it is bound to be kept entertained or safe from the storms like this little guy pictured who jumped in the ute whilst on a job as the lightening started! ??

Biggest Challenge in business:
Mischa originally started out the business on his own. With his wife already having a “job and a half” had little time to assist him with the running of the business at that time. One of our challenges was understanding where outsourcing duties would allow the plumbers to do what they do best, the plumbing, not the book keeping or the marketing etc. This extended to knowing when to use subcontractors and also partner with other fellow plumbers. Extending our business to use the services of our fellow Trading Mates has certainly helped us in growing our business and keeping our turnaround times short.

Best piece of business advice for fellow TM Members:
Never underestimate the power of networking. Once people get to know you and your passions, they can be your best sales people. Learning the art of being able to sell yourself is hard for most, tradies especially, as their forte is on the tools. Making the time to meet and network with the other members can not only boost your word of mouth reach, but help you find the right people to support your business. This can extend to partnering with other companies, finding a book keeper, subcontractors or even a business consultant to help you advance your business to the next level.
