Cairns Organisation United for Cancer Health - better known as COUCH - is a community focused charity with a mission to improve health care services for Cairns and Far North Queensland residents diagnosed with cancer.
From the moment COUCH was formed in 2006, the groundswell of public support has been overwhelming. From the inspiring Liz Plummer came the vision of the founders Pip & Charles Woodward to find a way to address the imbalance of services and support for people with cancer and their families in FNQ.
And they are succeeding! The path to providing patients and their support teams with the best tools and advice to navigate at and beyond diagnosis, manage ongoing health and well-being is well and truly paved – but of course there's always going to be the need for ongoing support – volunteers, donations and dedicated staff – if you can help, get in touch!
